The Band Biographies
Bobby Odom, lead vocals and emcee for Contagious. Bobby is from Hamlet, North Carolina and has been performing his entire life. He has enjoyed performing with many groups in his career as well as during his time in the military on bases all over the world. Bobby’s vocal range and ability to handle all genres of music has made him a key component to the success of the group. Bobby’s musical influences include Ray Charles, Prince, Cameo, Frank Sinatra, Phillip Bailey and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Carey Cooper a Sax player from Atlanta Ga. He has been playing Sax for over 5 years and has studied music at Ga. State Community College. He enjoys dancing on stage with his Sax. Everyone tells Carey that he looks Too cool to Play sax, but he does not see the resemblance. Carey also handles lead egg shaker for In Contagious Band, A big part of Contagious Band.
Chuck Henry, born in New Orleans and spent a lot of time listening to the music native to the City. Gravitated toward bass and eventually sought to become an inspired and competent musician. Over the years, this desire allowed him to play with many artist and travel the world. Hurricane Katrina moved him to Atlanta where a long journey ended with the meting and enjoyment of a group of musicians by the name "Contagious", and the rest is history.
His earlier recording sessions and touring started with a very wonderful lady by the name of Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans. Chuck played bass with Irma Thomas at the New Orleans Jazz Festival in 1989 and is on four of her albums. He also toured overseas with Ms. Thomas and while on these tours enjoyed the company of artists such as B.B. King and Santana.
Katrina Tease Singer, songwriter, actress. Born in San Antonio, Texas. Katrina began singing at a young age in church and various school projects. She has particpated in talent shows, stage plays and studio sessions. With vocals that can cross over to many genres, Katrina now resides in Atlanta, Georgia working as a singer and actress.
Michael Torregano Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana Michael has been submerged in music since his youth. Michael has extensive experience performing on both saxophone, and keyboards. His music has given him opportunities to open for major artist such as, Angie Stone, Alician Keys, Joshua Redman, and Stevie Wonder.
Rick Radford, lead guitarist and background vocalist and leader for Contagious Band. Born in Atlanta, GA, Rick’s guitar excellence is self-taught. He picked up his first guitar at age 9 and never put it down. He has played in various groups and performed throughout the US as well as the Bahamas and Mexico. His love for a huge variety of music has led him to develop the diversity Contagious is known for in the industry. Rick’s musical influences include Earth, Wind & Fire, Prince, Bon Jovi, Chuck Berry and BB King. Rick’s talent also includes sound and lighting engineering. His deep love for music and performing has made possible the success Contagious has enjoyed for more than 15 years.
Terrance S. Campbell
Terrance S. Campbell was born in Atlanta Georgia. Campbell was educated in the Cobb County school system and continued his education at Mississippi Valley State University studying Music Education and Business Administration. He plays various styles of music such as jazz, gospel, latin, rock & roll and many more. Campbell currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ms. Trice "The Busy Artist" Rice has had the blessed opportunity to explore just about every aspect the Music Industry has to offer from stage plays to opening acts. She has shared the stage with some of the industry’s most popular and legendary acts of all time. Cool and the Gang, Dennis Edwards and The New Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Raven Simone, John Popper “Blues Travelers”, Jazzy Fat Nasties, Julie Dexter, Dionne Farris, Violinist Ken Ford, Michael Phillips, and Cali's own Ronnie Hudson. For the past 20 years she's traveled the world with some of the most popular Cover bands in the country. It's been an amazing journey for Ms. Trice and she continues that journey by taking her place as one of the members of The Contagious Band.
